I read this "young adult" book because the author is a great friend of mine. I read it without really a pre-conceived opinion. I was so surprised when I started reading Then I Met My Sister! It was such an enjoyable story with such "real and believable" characters. Summer made me think of how some younger sisters must feel when they have to follow their sister’s footsteps...whether they are alive or dead. The relationships in this story were so complex, yet real. I loved Gibs as the friend. I loved how Summer’s Mom just couldn’t quite deal with some of Summer’s issues. I read this book in under 24 hours! I wasn’t ready for the book to end! I am now telling all of my friends about this book! It was written as a "young adult" book, but I am confident that it will be enjoyed by all!!!!
