I’m a science teacher and I use Emily Morgan’s books with a variety of age groups. Younger students, who have plenty of experience finding pill bugs on the playground, are engaged by the pictures and ask great questions about the information read aloud to them. With older students (grades 3-5) this book is a nice review of adaptations, life cycles, and ecosystem interactions. Check out her Firefly book as well.
