Bret A. Moore, Psy.D. is a board-certified clinical psychologist in San Antonio, TX. In 2008, Dr. Moore left Active Duty service in the U.S. Army, where he served as a Captain and clinical psychologist with the 85th Combat Stress Control unit based in Ft. Hood, TX. He has extensive experience treating veterans, including two tours of duty in Iraq as an officer in charge of preventative services and officer in charge of clinical operations. Dr. Moore completed his doctoral education at the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, IL and his master’s degree in clinical psychopharmacology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. He has authored and co-authored numerous journal articles, book chapters, and books on military psychology issues, including The Veterans and Active Duty Military Psychotherapy Treatment Planner (2009, Wiley), Living and Surviving in Harm’s Way: A Psychological Treatment Handbook for Military Personnel (2009, Routledge), and Wheels Down: Adjusting to Life After Deployment(2010, APA). In 2007, Dr. Moore was awarded the Arthur W. Melton Early Career Achievement Award by Division 19 (Society for Military Psychology) of the American Psychological Association. In addition, for his service in Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2007-2008, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.
