An avid photographer since very young, Peter’s first foray into photography was, as a six year old saving cereal packet tops to get a simple Kodak camera. He soon began shooting anything and everything. His enthusiasm was such that it was heard by a neighbour, who, when clearing out the house gifted him a set of darkroom equipment. He quickly embraced this too.
Hence, on holidays, days out and social events he could be found with a camera almost permanently to his eye - a trend he continues to this day.
At University Peter found a rival for his passions - astrophysics - but was able to marry both interests as he explored the opportunities offered by the embryonic digital photography technology.
In at the birth - almost - of digital photography he was quick to see how this could revolutionise photography and start putting cameras into the hands of everyone - not just the few who had the time to invest in the basis skills.
Not so much a professional photographer as a passionate one, Peter continues to evangelise photography and in particular the benefits and fun that new technologies can bring.
Peter is married with two children who have shown immense patience as subjects for his photography.
