English Summary/英文概要： Global Kids Book are his option publisher in Taiwan so it would be great to know if they will consider this one. It’s got that usual darkness of a Martyn Bedford book but this time with a wonderful love story at the centre of it. I really think this is his best book to date and were all really excited about it here.

How can you disappear from yourself?
Gloria is bored with her life. Bored with the town where she’s always lived, bored at home, bored at school, bored with her friends, bored with herself. She barely recognises the free-spirited child she used to be in the unadventurous teenager she has grown into.
So when a mysterious, exotic new boy strolls into her classroom one morning, bent on breaking all the rules, Gloria is ready to fall under his spell.

Awards/获奖情况：The US cover has been revealed and we’re thrilled with it! It’s elegant, eye-catching and has a mysterious feel to it, which perfectly captures the nature of the book. Wendy Lamb is publishing in the US on 12th April and the UK publication is set for 4th February, with Walker.

About the Author/作者介绍： 生于1959年的马丁•贝德福德是一位英国作家，他本人还是东英吉利亚大学的校友。马丁在当地的新闻报社从事了十二年的记者写作工作。他的第一部作品《Arts of Revision》曾夺得约克郡邮报的“最佳作品”奖。这让他在日后成为曼彻斯特大学小说写作课程的主任，并为‘文学评论’的评论员。目前，贝德福德在利兹三一大学院教授创意写作课。

Martyn Bedford’s novels have been widely translated and many of his short stories have been published in anthologies, newspapers and magazines or broadcast on radio and the Internet.
Formerly a journalist, Martyn has an MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia and now teaches an English and Writing programme at Leeds Trinity University College. He grew up in Croydon, South London, but has lived for many years in West Yorkshire with his wife and two daughters.
His first novel for teenagers and young adults, Flip, was published in 2011 and his next novel, Never Ending, was published in February 2013
