In a web of lies and deception Police Inspector Tommy Bergmann is lead back to a war where paper trails suddenly disappear, the truth is hard to come by, love and betrayal go hand in hand and survival is the only honour.
Masterfully intertwining two parallel stories, one set in present day 2003 and the other during the Second World War Gard Sveen delivers a solid and magnificent crime novel that in parts read like an intense page turning spy thriller.
