Janetta Harvey, born in Surrey, England lives with her husband, Michel sometimes there, sometimes in south-west France. Wherever they are, their dogs go too: Renae, Twinkle and Susie-Belle, three miniature schnauzers, three very different characters.

Michel, a professional chef keeps the household happy through filling the home with culinary delights, delights enjoyed as much by the canine gourmets as Janetta & Michel. Food is a big part of their lives and it proved an invaluable tool in helping to teach Susie-Belle and Twinkle that life outside a puppy farm and inside a home can be a pleasure, not a trauma. For these two dogs lived an existence many humans won’t bear to think about given a chance, but it is to many of them that the puppies being bred in the battery farms are sold.

But the terrible past of Susie-Belle and Twinkle lie behind them these days and they’ve both gone from having no home at all beyond a concrete pen in a barn, to having two comfortable homes: one in England, a second in France. Life cannot get any better for these dogs and they have more than earned that pleasure.
