Kit de Waal has worked for fifteen years in criminal and family law, has adopted children, and has worked around social services for years; so she really knows her subject inside out. She has been creating a stir as a major new writing talent, achieving an MA in Creative Writing from Oxford Brookes University, and having been awarded the Bridport Flash Fiction Prize 2014, the SI Leeds Literary Reader’s Choice Prize 2014, and second place in both the Costa Short Story Award 2014 and the Bath Short Story Award 2014.
