Taken hostage, put on a boat and transported down the Nile to the Pharoah’s gleaming new capital, the Boy’s talents, wit and a fair bit of luck take him further than he could ever have believed. He becomes friend and plaything of a willful princess, wins over the beautiful queen Nefertiti, and finally gains access to the mad, sun worshipping Pharoah himself.
